2025 AADA & AHA WINNERS’ NIGHT: HONORING EXCELLENCE & INNOVATION OF ARCHITECTURE DESIGN AND HOSPITALITY IN SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA

The Asia Awards Organization (AAO) successfully hosted the 2025 Winners’ Night of two of its flagship award programs: the 3rd Asia Architecture Design Awards (AADA) and the first Asia Hospitality Awards (AHA) at The Shilla Seoul (South Korea).
In a night that spotlighted creativity, cultural depth, and cross-industry excellence, the Asia Awards Organization (AAO) proudly hosted the 2025 Winners’ Night for both the Asia Architecture Design Awards (AADA) and the inaugural Asia Hospitality Awards (AHA) at the prestigious The Shilla Seoul Hotel, South Korea.

Under the 2025 theme “Vibrant Asia,” the event brought together more than 200 architects, designers, hoteliers, restaurateurs, and thought leaders from 10 Asian countries, marking a historic convergence of architecture design and hospitality excellence in the heart of Seoul - a city renowned for its harmony of innovation and tradition.
Further elevating the significance of the celebration, this year’s event was honored by the presence of representatives from the Embassies of Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines in South Korea. Their attendance not only highlighted a strong interest in Asia’s design and hospitality sectors, but also underscored the region’s growing cultural and creative collaboration - a testament to the expanding influence and prestige of AADA and AHA across Asia.

Opening the evening, Mr. Tan Quee Peng, General Director of RSP Vietnam, Chief of Judge of the Asia Awards Organization, and Chief of Judges for the 2025 Asia Architecture Design Awards, shared: “It is especially fitting to hold this celebration in Seoul - a city that embodies the balance of heritage and progress. South Korea continues to be a leader in design, technology, and cultural influence across Asia.”
In his speech, Mr. Tan reaffirmed the organization’s ongoing mission to recognize meaningful contributions that shape how Asia is built, experienced, and remembered.
He also reflected on AAO’s journey over the past years with the remarkable milestones of AADA, and officially announced the launch of the inaugural AHA. His words underscored the deep synergy between architecture and hospitality as two foundational industries shaping Asia’s cultural identity and economic growth.
“Architecture and hospitality are deeply connected. They influence how our cultures are experienced, how memories are formed, and how the identity of our region is expressed. Both disciplines require vision, both create impact - and together, they contribute meaningfully to Asia’s cultural and economic growth”, he added.
Making its debut this year, the Asia Hospitality Awards brought meaningful attention to projects and individuals who are shaping how Asia is seen, felt, and remembered by travelers today, with 33 winners carefully selected across 6 disciplines: Special Achievement, Resort, Hotel, Cruise & Yachts, Lifestyle & Wellness.

The first-ever AHA winners illustrated the vast creative and cultural diversity within Asia’s hospitality sector, and its ability to merge local identity with world-class innovation.
Across hotels, resorts, and serviced apartments, award-winning projects ranged from imaginative concepts like Around the World in One Day and The Legend of Ubud, to sustainably-driven city hotels such as Grand Copthorne Waterfront and Army Hotel. The rise of lifestyle hospitality was evident in projects like Etro Residences Phuket and Five Senses Experience Suite, reflecting new standards of living.
In F&B, restaurants such as MAMMOM, HOME, and NOA Villa All-Day Dining were honored for their deep cultural storytelling through food and space. Cruise and yacht experiences also gained recognition, with Ambassador Cruise, Royal Albatross, showcasing Asia’s growing leadership in experiential water-based travel.
The third edition of Asia Architecture Design Awards reflected a matured and deeply rooted design community across the region. With 63 honorees, the 2025 edition celebrated excellence across six disciplines, including Architecture Design, Interior Design, Furniture Design, Firms in Architecture Design, Firms in Interior Design, Firms in Furniture Manufacturing & Retailing, and the special accolade Student League.

The winning projects this year revealed a strong orientation toward human-centric design, cultural relevance, and bold conceptual exploration. While Missions Etrangeres De Paris (MEP) (Thailand) and Savanna Villas (Indonesia) stood out in the conceptual category for their visionary approach to future living, Seoul Robot AI Museum (South Korea) embodied the futuristic innovation in urban landscapes.
Other highlights included Đòng Đòng Collection by Landco Corporation (Vietnam), Synthesis Ark by CV Group (Thailand), and Dhawa Hanoi & The Lakeside Complex by Pacific Thang Long (Vietnam), reflecting a growing synergy between heritage, sustainability, and innovation.
This year’s Firm Awards spotlighted the visionaries behind Asia’s most compelling design narratives. From architecture to interiors, boutique studios to multidisciplinary powerhouses, the honorees included Barchan + Architecture (Philippines), Jenchieh Hung + Kulthida Songkittipakdee / HAS design and research (Thailand), Artslonga (Thailand), Monolab Studio (Singapore)...
Other notable mentions spanned SOGO AUD and Komoro Distillery (Japan), ARTSLONGA x PIA at Bangkok Marriott The Surawongse (Thailand), SHATE by Farnosova Design Studio (Kazakhstan), FOREST by Studio 40 (Russia), and Studio Jingu by YNAS (Japan) - together illustrating a vibrant spectrum of ideas reshaping Asia’s built environment and showing how architecture can anchor identity in rapidly transforming urban contexts.

Across the evening, the ceremony alternated between award moments, key highlights, and thought-provoking reflections from AAO leadership. The evening also served as a forum for cross-industry dialogue, regional connection, and future-oriented thinking.
The 2025 Winners’ Night concluded with an announcement for the launch of the 2026 AAO season and the official reveal of Vietnam as the next host destination for both AADA and AHA, with the new theme “Influential Asia”.
This announcement signals a strategic spotlight on one of the region’s most culturally rich and creatively emerging landscapes. At the heart of it lies Dragon Pearl Cave in Quang Ninh – 2025 Asia’s Finest New Cultural Destination – which will serve as the special venue for the upcoming season. As a breathtaking fusion of natural heritage and immersive spatial design, Dragon Pearl Cave embodies the spirit of the ongoing redefinition of Asian architecture and hospitality. It will be a truly extraordinary stage set within the heart of a 150-million-year-old cave - a venue like no other in the world.
