The HKFYG JC Stanley Outdoor Training Centre is a visionary example of civic architecture that unites people, place, and purpose. Designed to promote youth engagement and outdoor education, the Centre harmonizes with its coastal landscape through a distinctive green wall façade that offers both visual integration and passive solar control.

Environmentally responsive, the project preserves a beloved Ficus tree and minimizes ecological disruption. Despite its remote location, the Centre functions self-sufficiently through an on-site sewage treatment facility and integrated utilities. These features demonstrate a strong commitment to sustainability, setting a precedent for future civic developments across Asia.

What truly distinguishes the Centre is its focus on community. Thoughtfully designed public areas promote connection, while collaboration with the neighboring water sports centre fosters inclusivity. Its design is socially enriching and ecologically conscious - making it not only a training hub but also a lasting civic legacy for Hong Kong’s youth and local community.
