The Hollow Villa is a vivid celebration of architecture in harmony with nature. Nestled among the serene rice paddies of Canggu, the residence embraces Balinese traditions, letting the tropical environment shape its form and character rather than imposing upon it.

 

Its innovation lies in passive design rooted in vernacular wisdom. Pivoting wooden shutters aren’t just aesthetic - they control light, airflow, and privacy, minimizing energy use. Every element, from orientation to material, is thoughtfully chosen to enhance sustainability while enriching daily living.

 

Crafted with Merbau and Ulin wood, bamboo wovens, and volcanic stone, The Hollow is more than a home - it’s a sensory retreat that uplifts local craftsmanship and connects deeply with place. Its seamless fusion of cultural authenticity, environmental sensitivity, and refined design makes The Hollow a standout winner of the 2025 Asia’s Best Residential Architecture Design.
