Isabelle Miaja is an internationally acclaimed interior designer whose work sits at the intersection of art, culture, and luxury hospitality. As Founder and Creative Director of Miaja Design Group, established in 1995 in Singapore, she has spent nearly three decades delivering distinctive hospitality design solutions for leading global hotel brands, corporate developments, and high-end residential clients worldwide.

 

Isabelle Miaja’s principal focus is luxury hotel and resort interiors, working with renowned international and boutique operators. The firm’s international portfolio spans globally, with landmark projects such as W Maldives, Pullman Central Park Jakarta, Sofitel So Singapore, Sofitel Mumbai BKC, Jumeirah Resort & Spa Maldives, Desert Palm Dubai, Club Med Sahoro Japan, and Pullman Maamutaa Resort Maldives. These projects have earned international recognition and multiple industry accolades.

 

 

Isabelle Miaja began her career in the United States, designing private residences in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, and Park Avenue, New York. Her move to Asia marked a transformative chapter, embracing new cultures, integrating Feng Shui principles, and reinterpreting European savoir-faire to create a distinctive East-meets-West design signature.

 

Art has always been central to her life. Influenced by a family heritage rooted in sculpture and literature, she places art at the heart of her interiors. Beyond design, she founded Miaja Gallery and Miaja Art Collections, and launched Journal Artistique, reinforcing her belief that art and design are interdependent pillars of society.

 

Her work has been recognized through numerous awards, including the Seven Star Luxury Interior Design Award, Asia Pacific Property Awards, BCA Platinum Award for Sofitel So Singapore, and invitations as Honoured Judge at Tatler Design Awards and SIDA Awards.

 

As a Jury Member of the 2026 Asia Architecture Design Awards, Isabelle Miaja brings artistic depth, global perspective, and a profound commitment to guest-centered design, championing hospitality environments that are culturally rooted, emotionally resonant, and artfully crafted.
