GUBIC Headquarters is conceived as a continuous interior landscape, transforming five adjacent Phnom Penh shophouses into a unified workplace that embodies growth, discipline, and cultural identity. Rather than concealing the constraints of the existing structure, the design reframes the repetitive shophouse grid as a spatial framework that organizes rhythm, proportion, and clarity across the five-storey office.

The concept draws from the Cambodian landscape, interpreted as a vertical journey from openness to focus, reflecting stages of learning, practice, and leadership. Each floor represents a step in this progression, creating a coherent narrative experienced through daily movement. Light and material transitions guide this journey, shaping atmosphere and reinforcing spatial hierarchy.

Cultural identity is embedded through abstraction rather than ornament, expressed in pace, sequence, and tactile materiality. Local textures and restrained detailing create a calm, enduring environment that supports reflection and long-term use.

Through adaptive reuse, the project extends the life of existing structures while establishing a scalable and disciplined interior system. Ultimately, the headquarters functions as both a workplace and a cultural framework, where architecture supports performance, responsibility, and a strong sense of belonging.
