Eastin Phayathai is a hospitality interior project inspired by the historic Phaya Thai Palace, translating the elegance of Thai heritage into a contemporary spatial experience. The concept is further shaped by the Pink Trumpet Tree (Tabebuia rosea), a symbol of bloom, life, beauty, and the passage of time.
Traditional architectural elements - including arched openings, ornamental details, and rhythmic façade patterns - are reinterpreted into abstract forms that balance organic softness with geometric precision. These references are expressed through bas-relief surfaces, creating a layered dialogue between cultural memory and modern design language.
Surface texture becomes the primary design medium. Through painting techniques, material layering, and controlled lighting, solid architectural planes gain depth, movement, and subtle visual transformation as perspectives change.
The spatial journey moves from the expressive energy of the main lobby into quieter, more contemplative interior zones, creating a progression from grandeur to calm. By transforming architectural surfaces into immersive artistic elements, Eastin Phayathai creates a refined hospitality environment that bridges Thailand’s cultural legacy with contemporary living.
