Bánh Mật House is conceived as a green sanctuary within the dense urban fabric of Ho Chi Minh City, redefining residential living through a close integration with nature. Designed for a family of four, the house prioritizes a symbiotic relationship between humans, plants, and micro-ecosystems, transforming everyday living into an immersive natural experience.

A key strategy lies in allocating nearly 70% of the ground floor to a central garden and water courtyard, which functions as a passive cooling system while enhancing daylight and natural ventilation. This spatial core generates a continuous circular flow, connecting all living areas and ensuring constant visual and sensory engagement with greenery, water, and light.

The architecture balances contrast - between rustic and contemporary, enclosure and openness - through the use of raw, vernacular-inspired materials alongside expansive glazing. This creates a dialogue between tradition and modernity while reinforcing a strong sense of place.

Beyond its spatial qualities, the house promotes a slower, restorative lifestyle, encouraging interaction, reflection, and well-being. By prioritizing landscape over built mass, Bánh Mật House establishes a forward-thinking model for urban living where architecture becomes both shelter and ecosystem.
