WMS House is a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional Vietnamese tube house, designed to create a calm and breathable living environment within a dense urban setting. Situated on a narrow 5 × 24 m plot, the project challenges the conventional enclosed typology by introducing a continuous vertical landscape.

A system of multi-level voids, anchored by a central water courtyard, organizes the house both spatially and environmentally. These voids enable natural light and cross-ventilation to penetrate deep into the interior, reducing reliance on mechanical systems while enhancing thermal comfort.

Water and greenery are integrated as essential architectural elements rather than decorative features, contributing to a cooler microclimate and a more serene living atmosphere. The visual and spatial continuity created by the void system strengthens connections between family members across different levels.

Through restrained material use and precise spatial composition, WMS House transforms a typical urban dwelling into a light-filled, nature-integrated home. The project proposes a scalable model for healthier, more sustainable urban living in rapidly densifying cities.
