Yoga House is a climate-responsive residence designed to transform a challenging west-facing urban plot into a breathable, nature-integrated living environment. Confronting intense solar radiation and heat gain, the project introduces a multi-layered “green envelope” that redefines the house as a living, breathing entity.

Inspired by the philosophy of Yoga - balance between body, mind, and environment - the architecture integrates a porous terracotta façade with lush greenery distributed across all levels. This layered system passively filters sunlight, enhances cross-ventilation, and significantly reduces indoor heat.

Each floor incorporates private gardens, allowing nature to permeate daily living spaces while improving microclimatic conditions. The fired-clay brick façade, carefully arranged to create voids and depth, acts as both a thermal buffer and a natural ventilation system.

By merging vernacular materials with contemporary environmental strategies, Yoga House achieves a harmonious coexistence between architecture, human well-being, and tropical nature. The project stands as a refined response to dense urban living, delivering comfort, sustainability, and spatial serenity within a compact city footprint.
