Asia Awards Organization Welcomes Professor Jenchieh Hung to the 2026 Winners’ Night

Asia Awards Organization is honored to welcome Professor Jenchieh Hung to the Winners’ Night of the 2026 Asia Architecture Design Awards and 2026 Asia Hospitality Awards, taking place on 26 June 2026 at Dragon Pearl Cave, Vietnam.

Under the leadership of its Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Cam Tu Nguyen, the event will bring together architects, designers, developers, hospitality leaders, and creative professionals from across Asia to celebrate the region’s most outstanding achievements in design, architecture, and hospitality.

As an International Jury Member and Board of Advisors member, Professor Hung has played a significant role in the 2026 awards program, contributing his expertise to the evaluation of exceptional projects across architecture, interior design, hospitality, and related creative disciplines. His participation reflects the awards’ commitment to fostering meaningful dialogue, encouraging innovation, and recognizing projects that shape the future of the built environment.

An internationally recognized architect, educator, and principal architect of Bangkok-based architectural firm Jenchieh Hung + Kulthida Songkittipakdee / HAS design and research, Professor Hung is widely respected for his contributions to contemporary architecture and design research. His work explores the relationship between culture, environment, materials, and human experience, resulting in projects that are both contextually responsive and internationally acclaimed. Over the years, his practice has received numerous global awards and has been featured extensively in leading architectural publications and media platforms worldwide.

Beyond professional practice, Professor Hung is also a distinguished academic whose influence extends across some of Asia’s most respected educational institutions. He has served as Professor and Visiting Professor at multiple universities, including Tongji University, Chulalongkorn University, Huaqiao University, Kunming University of Science and Technology, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Donghua University, and World University of Design. He also serves as Exhibition Chairman and Principal Curator of the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA), contributing actively to architectural discourse and cultural exchange throughout the region.

Throughout his career, Professor Hung has advocated for architecture as more than the creation of buildings. His work emphasizes the role of design as a medium for storytelling, cultural expression, and social engagement, encouraging architects to respond thoughtfully to both local contexts and global challenges. This perspective aligns closely with the values championed by AADA and AHA, which recognize projects demonstrating innovation, sustainability, design excellence, and meaningful societal impact.

The 2026 Winners’ Night will serve not only as a celebration of achievement, but also as a platform for knowledge exchange and regional collaboration. Through the participation of respected figures such as Professor Jenchieh Hung, AAO continues to strengthen its mission of connecting leading voices across Asia’s architecture, design, and hospitality communities.

AAO looks forward to welcoming Professor Hung to Dragon Pearl Cave for this landmark occasion, where Asia’s most influential projects and visionary professionals will be honored in one of the world’s most extraordinary awards settings.
